On 29th July 2026, Ben Cook and Lee Willis are running 20 miles around the Peter Rabbit Tales on the Tyne art trail.

For Lee, the challenge represents a significant personal milestone, as it will be the furthest distance he has run since taking up the sport last year.He will be joined by colleague Ben, an experienced ultra runner, whose endurance and expertise will help guide the team through the 20-mile route.Together, they hope their challenge will inspire others to visit the Tales of the Tyne trail, engage with the sculptures across the region, and donate to support the outstanding care and support provided by St Oswald’s Hospice to local people and their families

The Tales of the Tyne art trail has been created by St Oswald’s Hospice to bring together art, culture and community while raising awareness and funds for the hospice’s vital services. The trail features a collection of individually designed sculptures located across the North East, stretching from the coast to Gosforth. Each sculpture has been generously sponsored by local businesses and organisations, helping to fund the trail and support the hospice’s specialist care.Visitors are encouraged to explore the trail, discover the unique artwork, and make a donation to help ensure St Oswald’s Hospice can continue providing compassionate care for babies, children, young adults and adults with life-limiting conditions, as well as support for their families.
